The formation of a strategic alliance between TEL-A and the Institution will enable a wider offering of qualitative online education courses, Online MBA, EBBA, BBA or Certificate Programs, thereby broadening the institutions offering without the additional financial and administrative costs.

In reviewing and ensuring the design and implementation of TEL-A, research papers and publications on Technology Enhanced Learning in Higher Education with a particular focus on Operational Structures of support have been integrated into our delivery.

An operational framework will be suggested and identified to ensure “best practices from the human performance and distance education literature,” as well as from current experiences with instructional systems design.

By pooling the talent of educators globally and empowering the local institutions, TEL-A will act as the medium for change in the delivery of education.

Efficient and effective use of technology in an online environment lies at the heart of a successful program. It requires administrative support that is independent and has the expertise to meet any and all challenges.

The focus in the development of an online program has been preserved to ensure as much of the same qualities that made the Campus programs effective while making improvements for online presentation. Relevant questions such as; How can student/student and student/professor relationships be preserved and developed in an online and often isolated environment? How must the teaching strategies change to accommodate technology and the online environment? How is the course content affected when moved from a campus to an online environment? What infrastructure support functions must be modified to accommodate online teaching environment and the online or distant students? Each of these factors will be fully addressed in the operational model, conforming to the independent set of criteria in the TEL-A program.

Operational and Administrative structures in the TEL-A program are well organized with a never ending process of improvement. Quality assurances and controls are in-place to prompt improvements and corrections where necessary. At whatever state the current operational infrastructure is, there is always room for improvement, but the implementation of an online teaching program requires certain considerations not normally an issue in a campus only type of teaching environment. The models created and tested here outline the processes and functions needed at each stage of the implementation process in order to establish an online teaching program with the operational infrastructure to adequately support it.

Your TEL-A program will bring together all the campus resources and unify the traditional instruction program with the online instruction. The process will create a synergistic effect that allows technology, infrastructure, and academic and administrative resources to be shared by all faculty and staff in both environments.
